NEWBERRY COLLEGE

Here at Newberry College (and most other colleges and universities), most of our ensemble members are not music majors and still have time and interest in performing in one or more ensembles each semester. This allows them to take on less debt and student loans while making new friends, enjoying playing in college level ensembles, getting to travel with sporting team ensembles to away games and bowl/tournament events, and make wonderful music with their peers.

At Newberry College, our students can earn over $7,000 by playing in our marching band for all 4 years in college! Yes, that is just to play in a college marching band! If they choose to play in an additional ensemble in the spring semesters, that can go upward to $11,000 in participation scholarships! Again, this opportunity is for anyone on our campus, not just music majors!

We have additional scholarships to offer your students like our Music Major Scholarships (Music Achievement Scholarship) ranging from $1,000-5,000 annually, our AWESOME Region Band ($16,000 X 4 years) and All-State Band ($17,000 X 4 years) (Music Excellence Scholarship), and many other state sponsored scholarships that can be stacked on top of these amazing opportunities.
